Tissot T063.610.16.037.00 Men’s Watch

My boss was a simple man. That statement is however only partially correct. By ‘simple’, I meant he liked simple designs not cheap designs or cheap things. “Keep it simple” was his motto; both in life and in the office where he worked as Head of Department until he retired a week ago.

His only daughter was married and so, my boss and wife Latha, were staying alone. For his retirement gift, we decided to pitch in and buy him the Tissot T063.610.16.037.00 Men’s Watch. At around Rs 20,000 retail price, the 22 of us, would each have to pitch in Rs 1,000/- including cost of party; i.e. food and drinks.

The junior most amongst us and a computer expert (he was better than the rest of us anyway); found this site called CityWatches.in here: https://www.citywatches.in The site had a huge collection of watches. They have hundreds of watch models from every brand and amongst all that was the Tissot brand and in particular, the Tissot T063.610.16.037.00 Men’s Watch.

Simple yet elegant. It was thin, had a large dial face (42 mm) and displayed the time and date. It had an ultra-white dial, silver coated hands and hour markers. The case of stainless steel and attached to a lovely brown genuine leather strap. The 30-meter water resistance ensured it could withstand a heavy downpour or rain or water or even the occasional swim in the pool or sea. The watch had a two-year warranty and came with an international warranty card.

Once we had collected the money, it was handed over to our computer expert who then bought the watch from the online store using his credit card. The watch arrived two days before our boss’s send-off party. Everyone wanted to look at it, touched it and make sure all was okay. After all, it was an expensive Tissot and none of us had a Tissot or anything nearly as expensive.

Preparations went ahead. The party was to be held at a nearby 4-Star hotel. We always had our parties there and the management gave us a good deal. There was even a magician and a clown added. As always, the food and drinks were excellent. Our boss and his wife arrived on time (he was always on time).

After his speech, we requested he cut the cake; after all, he was 68 years old and so, it was also his birthday. After the cake cutting, we handed him the box which was rather small. I was watching his eyes and he did not seem disappointed. He opened the box slowly and then I saw the smile crack on his face; a smile that also touched his eyes. Yup, I thought to myself he was definitely happy with the gift. Who wouldn’t be? After all, this was a Tissot; the Tissot T063.610.16.037.00 Men’s Watch and bought at a fabulous discount from https://www.citywatches.in.
